Baby's First Card

Our baby received their first card by mail this week. It was from their Grandma Judy and Grandpa Steve from California. Here's a picture of the front of it. How cute are those little feet? :) I will save it in a special journal that Dan and I write in for the baby.

We were also given a Belly Book from Krystina. It's a going to be a journal of my 9 months of pregnancy. Cravings, foods that gross me out, feelings, doctor's visits...all that fun stuff.

I hope to share my Belly Book with everyone at the Baby Showers and gatherings as we get closer to arrival day. :)

Today has probably been my best day since we found out...I haven't had any nausea or sickness at all, of course it's Saturday and I've been relaxing. I laid outside in the swing for a while today reading a book about the first trimester. Sounds like I've got it easy, compared to some women.

This is what BabyCenter.com says about the baby's developement this week:

"This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean."
