After much consideration, I'm back! It's been so long since I've posted that I considered giving up the blog. My babies are growing though and there is just WAY too much that I don't want to forget. So here I am. I will try to view this as an opportunity to journal my girls and our crazy life. Follow me if you want to!
Today I have a 3 year old, 19 month old and a 3 month old. Life is loud, messy and full of emotion.
Let me tell you about Baby Evelyn. She was born in on January 20, 2012 at 8lbs 8 ozs, 19 1/2 inches at Memorial Medical Center in Humble, Tx. We were induced at 7am but didn't experience any "real" labor pains until 2:15pm. Evelyn was born at 3:34pm...on the floor. Hee hee. I was leaning on the exercise ball to handle the pain of contractions when the nurse asked if I was feeling the urge to push yet. I responded yes and started pushing. The doctor was across the hallway but didn't make it to deliver. He came in and helped me on the bed so that he could "examine the damage". Hee hee. It was hilarious. My dad was sitting on the couch playing games on the phone while I had a baby! He commented, "I've seen horses born, and cows born, and dogs born, but I've never seen anything like that!"
We went home the next day... Before 3pm. Thats what Im talking about!
Evelyn Grace is a wonderful baby. Cries when she's dirty, hungry or sleepy. Plays the rest of the time, or sleeps.
She's already rolling over and loves to sit in her bumbo or swing and "sing" or coo.
Mikayla is "starting"to talk. Her favorite word is "ish", which she says as she purses her lips out revealing all of her teeth... I know, it's different. :-) lets see if I can come up with a list of her new words..she says, "bubbles, mama, daddy, me, my (for mine), baby, mo' pease, pease (please), go, cheese, no, yes, ther go (for there ya go)..." mostly she just points and says "ish" though. She LOVES to read books, play with babies, "talk on the phone", and she's just started trying to play dress up. So cute!
Jami is awesome. She can do can do anything that she "wants" to do. Play babies, ride her tricycle, play dress up, sing songs, watch Team Umizoomi or Wonder Pets, and basically boss everyone around. She definitely has the older sibling personality. She moved into her very own room this week and has a princess bed that has helped us to get her to sleep at night. (finally).
